World’s Largest Brat Fest
Alliant Energy Center
Every Memorial Day Weekend since 1983, Brat Fest has brought communities together to celebrate with food, music, and family fun all while donating to local charities. Check out their website for the events schedule (www.bratfest.com).

Sweat the Technique: Fresh Beef!
Willow Island at the Alliant Energy Center
All ages, all styles battle and youth Bboy/Bgirl battle. Winners receive $25-75 and prizes. Free event.
 
SUNDAY, MAY 24
7 p.m.
Dogs of War
CWAG Tent Stage
Five-piece, award-winning local group addresses police brutality and social issues through a blend of Hip-Hop and Rock. All ages, free.
 
 
SATURDAY, MAY 23
4 – 9 p.m.
Beatmakers’ Brawl
South Madison Center for Culture & Community (Fountain of Life Church)
The first event of the FOR THE LOVE OF HIP HOP SUMMER CONCERT SERIES 2015 and Madison’s biggest producer battle, this non-profit event will support the Urban Community Arts Network programming, designed to benefit the greater Madison Hip-Hop Community. All ages. Free under 18. $5 for spectators, $25 to battle.
 
SATURDAY, MAY 23

Trinidad Tripoli Steel Drum Ensemble
UW Memorial Union Terrace
Active since the ‘50s, this legendary band is still going strong and is sure to get people dancing with their sunny mixture of Soca, Calypso, and Reggae. Free, all ages.

Dasha Kelly & Cyn Vargas with Chloe Benjamin

Madison College Truax Campus Auditorium
The Madison Metropolitan Chapter of The Links, Incorporated will present its annual African American Student Recognition Program. This year’s theme is “Empowering Students Through Education. Recognition program for elementary students starts at 1:30 p.m. and for middle and high school students at 3:15 p.m.
