Cancer Awareness: Free Screenings
UW Hospital and Clinics – 2nd Floor, Otolaryngology/ENT Clinic, Atrium Way, 600 Highland Ave., Madison. 
UW Physicians will provide free screenings for oral and neck cancer during Head and Neck Cancer Awareness week.
 
Saturday, April 18
10 a.m. – Noon
Saturday Science at Discovery
Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery, 330 N. Orchard St., Madison.
Free, monthly drop-in program consists of science exploration and education programs aimed at families and learners of all ages. April's theme is Forensic Science: Investigating Mysteries.

For Love of the Earth
UW-Madison Arboretum Visitor Center, 1207 Seminole Highway, Madison. 
Free, special Earth day themed program consists of a walking tour through the Arboretum guided by ecological experts.

Nelson Institute: Neil deGrasse Tyson
Monona Terrace Community & Convention Center, 1 John Nolan Dr., Madison. 
Ninth annual Earth Day conference features Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson keynote address on environmental issues.

7 – 9 p.m.
Wright Design Series
Monona Terrace Community & Convention Center, 1 John Nolan Dr., Madison. 
Free lecture and discussion series inspired by architect Frank Lloyd Wright on design topics, including the fields of architecture, interior design, graphic design/visual communication and industrial design open to the community.

6:30 – 10:30 p.m.
Hair Affair: The Art of Hair
Madison Museum of Contemporary Art, 227 State St., Madison.
Fourth biennial celebratory exhibition features models adorned with creative hair sculptures by local salons and stylists with a silent auction fundraiser for the museum.

2015 Reel Love LGBT Film Festival
Marquee Theater Union South, 5231 Memorial Union, Madison.
This free festival presents films to celebrate the LGBT community and educate people on current issues for the LGBT Campus Center's Out and About Month.

Busking For Books
State Street, Madison. 
Literacy Network’s annual fundraiser for adult literacy programs presents an array of sidewalk performances by local musical acts to raise money for adult literacy programs.

Annual spring scrimmage previews 2015 UW-Badgers under new head coach Paul Chryst. Ticket sale proceeds benefit UW Office of Undergraduate Advising.

Learn To Ride
Memorial High School, 201 S. Gammon Rd. 
Madison School & Community Recreation and the Madison Department of Traffic Engineering bicycle education and safety training courses provide help to parents or guardians teaching their children learn to ride. Ages four and up.
