As a faculty member of the University of Wisconsin-Extension, Cooperative Extension, employed with Marathon County, the Community, Natural Resource and Economic Development Educator is an educational leader in teaching, accessing and applying research findings from the fields of leadership and organizational development, community development, local government education, business and economic development and natural resources in order to meet identified educational needs and interests of citizens, civic groups, businesses and local governments. The Community, Natural Resource and Economic Development Educator takes a scholarly approach in strengthening communities and local government through educational programming that builds understanding and leads to improved decision-making and leadership skills.

STAFF ATTORNEY – CIVIL RIGHTS (80% time) to handle individual cases, participate in impact litigation and non-partisan voting rights activities. Expertise in disability law, employment and housing discrimination law preferred, knowledge of special education systems a plus. Salary for 80% time: $33,200 – $36,650 DOE.
 
ADVOCACY SPECIALIST (80% time) to provide individual advocacy in the area of special education and community integration. Salary for 80% time: $30,400 – $32,260 DOE.
 
ADVOCACY SPECIALIST (Full time) to provide individual advocacy to adults in community and institutional settings, outreach, and training. Salary for full time: $38,000 – $42,000 DOE.

Professional Development Specialist Needed – The position is located within the Minority Student Achievement Network (MSAN), part of the Wisconsin Center for Education Research. The Coordinator of Professional Development will facilitate/organize MSAN’s professional development agenda to meet the growing needs of the racially diverse school districts that comprise the network.
 
Degree and area of specialization: Master’s degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field. Exceptional candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and substantial and relevant work experience will be considered. Evidence of training and/or coursework in multicultural education, instructional coaching, or adult education is preferred.
