William Brotzman hired to lead Badger Prairie Health Care Center

October 28, 2014

By Melanie Conklin

MADISON — Dane County Executive Joe Parisi and Dane County Human Services Director Lynn Green have announced that they hired William Brotzman as the new administrator for Badger Prairie Health Care Center, the county’s licensed care nursing home. Badger Prairie provides short and long-term care for Dane County residents with behavioral or complex medical issues that make it difficult for them to be in traditional nursing homes or living with their families.

Brotzman has an extensive background in nursing home administration.  He was the Assistant Administrator of a 400-bed skilled nursing facility in Bridgeview, IL and an Administrator of a 203 bed skilled nursing facility in Elgin, IL for 11 years.  For the past 12 years Brotzman has been the executive director of an assisted living facility in Madison.
In addition to his degree in healthcare Administration with a gerontology minor, Bill is also a Licensed Practical Nurse.  He resides in Verona with his wife and two sons.
“Bill’s passion for Badger Prairie’s mission and extensive experience in nursing home administration make him a wonderful addition to our Dane County team,” Parisi said. “Badger Prairie Health Care Center staff is known for caring for our residents with dedication and respect and he is committed to continuing that exceptional service.”
