Position Open: Director of Fund and Business Development at Family Service Madison

Family Service Madison, a nonprofit agency serving and celebrating families since 1910, seeks a hybrid of the traditional business development and fund development professionals. This position creates and implements a strategic approach to promoting awareness of and engagement with the agency among potential business partners, clients, donors, grantors, and other funding sources. A bachelor’s degree and minimum of 3 years of experience is required; a Certified Fund-Raising Executive designation is an asset.

Skills and qualifications desired: Creativity, high ethical standards, persuasive communications, networking and relationship building, knowledge of fundraising management, use of the Internet, research and prospecting, public speaking and presenting, writing and making proposals, grant seeking and writing, marketing/branding and promotional skills, closing skills, sales and donation planning, identification of donor and customer needs and challenges, market knowledge, and Microsoft Office. Familiarity with LexisNexis for Development Professionals is helpful.

Eligible candidate must demonstrate cultural competence and pass a Wisconsin caregiver background check and criminal history screening. Family Service Madison is an equal opportunity employer.
