Special Events
APT’s “Beyond the Plays” is a series of talks, tours and events to enrich patrons’ APT experience. This season, the series includes: Talks on the APT grounds on Saturdays and Sundays; Tours of the property, shops and the theater at large; Midsummer Music, the newest embodiment of APT’s Skippeth Out Of Work Early, offered most weekdays during the season; Post-Show Discussions, where artists stick around for a Q&A with the company after the performance; and Sunday Salons, a free, non-ticketed talk in the park on Sunday mornings. Dates, time and prices vary. More information at www.americanplayers.org/events.
Picnics and Food Events
There’s more to a trip to APT than the plays. Picnicking before the performance has become a tradition, and patrons pack picnic baskets, or order picnics from APT, and head to the 110-acre property to take advantage of picnic tables and gas grills placed throughout the grounds. Food events such as Fat Jacks Barbeque and Tacos! by local favorite Enos Farms are also available on select dates. More information at www.americanplayers.org/eat.
