MADISON —Dane County Humane Society, Dane County Friends of Ferals, Angels Wish, Friends of Noah, and the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin are extremely happy to report that 486 animals were adopted this past weekend through Maddie’s Pet Adoption Days! These five organizations will earned up to $2,000 per adoption from Maddie’s Fund to continue to support future animals in need.
Our Dane County community was one of 14 communities nationwide to participate in this two day free adoption event. “We were amazed at the turn out – seeing the happy faces, the purrs and wagging tails walk out the door together made the weekend so incredibly rewarding,” says Gayle Viney, Dane County Humane Society spokeswoman.
The goal of Maddie’s® Pet Adoption Days is to give all healthy, senior, and treatable shelter dogs and cats a second chance. “Dane County Humane Society is proud to have been the lead agency for our community and we are extremely excited that all 5 organizations adopted out so many great animals,” says Viney.
