MADISON — Dane County Executive Joe Parisi has named Tamara Grigsby to serve as the new community relations director in the office of the county executive. Grigsby will work with community organizations, public officials, and the private sector to advance the county executive’s initiatives to reduce racial and ethnic disparities in employment, education, and the criminal justice system.
“I’m thrilled that Tamara will be joining us at such a crucial time in our community’s history,” Parisi said. “Tamara brings a great skill set that will help us keep this momentum moving forward as our entire community comes together to address issues of inequity.”
Grigsby, a graduate of Madison Memorial High School, graduated Cum Laude from Howard University with a B.S. in Psychology & a minor in Sociology and received a Master of Science in Social Work from UW-Madison. Her first day in the office will be Aug. 25
“I’m excited to be back in Dane County working with the county executive on the issues that I’ve had a life-long passion about,” Grigsby said. “There are many challenges our community faces right now and this is a great opportunity to be a partner in finding positive solutions.”
