Walker Appointed Bradley Last Week
By The Associated Press
Rebecca Bradley has been sworn into office as a justice on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.
Court spokesman Tom Sheehan said that Chief Justice Patience Roggensack administered the oath of office to Bradley on Monday morning, about an hour before the court was to hear oral arguments in a lawyer discipline case.
Bradley had been appointed to the court on Friday by Gov. Scott Walker to fill the remainder of Patrick Crooks’ term. He died in office last month.
Bradley had previously announced she was going to run for a full 10-year term to replace Crooks, who was not seeking re-election. Two other judges running for the seat did not seek the appointment that Bradley got.
Bradley had been serving as a judge on the state appeals court.
