JOAN RICTER
Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) is pleased to recognize Big Sister Joan Ricter as our Volunteer of the Month. Joan works as a nurse at Meriter Hospital. She has been matched with her Little Sister Aaliyah since November of 2012.
Joan and Aaliyah enjoy completing arts and crafts projects, baking, playing board games, and watching movies together. This past winter Aaliyah was in an 8-week basketball league. Joan attended her games and helped Aaliyah get to her practices.
Joan says that she and Aaliyah always have fun when they’re together and Aaliyah’s mother notes that Joan not only has a great relationship with Aaliyah but with her as well. And Aaliyah likes her Big Sister because she’s “nice and kind to her, and is funny”.
